Boris ordered this Elite Scandi Body at our Gorge Fly Shop store this Summer (26'). Here is what he had to say about it.
"The 300 gr Rio Elite Scandi Body is a match made in heaven for my Echo Glass Spey 3 wt trout spey. It casts beautifully scandi or skagit, delivering all the flies I like to fish. I don't fish huge intruders or dumbell lead-eyed heavy flies. I use an old scandi body 325 gr on my WInston BIII TH 4 wt rod for southern Erie trib stseelhead and big Wyoming trout and it works great. I haven't replaced it with the new elite scandi body to do a head to head comparison yet. I'm expecting it will be the same, EXCELLENT. For my 3 wt trout spey I use either replacement tips or Sonar polyleaders. It could handle a light MOW or iMOW. For my four weight I use Sonar polyleaders, light MOW and light iMOW tips. Other tips work too. It is a great system as long as you remember that it needs a tip of some kind." - Boris
